What's New In Your Neck of the Woods?

Lately I have been catching upon what seems like a zillion projects! I spent a full week creating a 12 x 12 scrapbook for my brother which included removing all the pic's and misc items from one of those "old school" scrapbooks from the 1970s that had the sticky, yucky stuff on the pages as those are not Acid Free and will suck the life out of your pic's over a period of time, especially color pic's. Well 31  pages later in his new 12 x 12 book they are saved! I'm putting this away for a Christmas or birthday present for this year.
Now for the fun stuff I created a few ATC's for a current swap coming up and a mixed media  journal page that I used as a intro page in the photo album. It was a vintage family pic of relatives which I turned into a "family tree". Quite fun, the leaves of the tree are instant oatmeal, the roots are scrim all scrunched up with matte medium as an adhesive and then painted, then a coat of wax applied. This was fun of the messy kind!
Have a great weekend! I'm off to finish another project and start a couple of new ones, finishing a needle felted bunny and starting a little art doll  class over at Paper Whimsey.

Hi Marilou,
Wow, yes you certainly have been busy but know your brother will be trilled with that gift, that was quite a project. You always make such lovely things. I have also been busy, no time really to blog, been making small dolls for the shop where I sell and love it. Hugs...Lu
