HEARTFUL CREATIONS "PRESENTS" A NEW OOAK

My latest creation just posted today, the largest and most intricate piece I have created. This is an Emu Egg with a Victorian design of paper filigree. Each piece of paper is hand cut and twisted and shaped one at a time, then placed on individually by special tweezers after being dipped in a matte art glue, upon drying the the back round is created and then vintage leaves are hand cut from larger leaves, edged in german glass glitter. Upon drying the poinsettias are brushed with glue and hand glittered. Then after drying the back round is brushed with matte glue and more german glass glitter is applied. A piece of vintage tinsel is added to the top and inserted in a hole and glued in place. The bottom has a vintage teardrop pearl added and the poinsettias have clustered centers of tiny vintage pearls. Each one of my ornaments have a vintage/victorian flare with vintage jewelry added. They are OOAK and come hand signed. It requires approximately a week to finish each ornament. This art is generally called quilling which is the Art of paper filigree, to me this is quilling at its Best!

This is #1 of my Four Seasons Giveaway. It started last Saturday but due to the 9/11 Memorial I felt it should have its own post. The Spring birds nest is a vintage iron bird bath with a OOAK Paper Filigree Goose egg in a setting of shredded vintage papers and grasses with a Hummingbird attached on the side. The base is tied in a bow of antique lace and vintage jewelry pieces and a tiny angel fairy all from estate sales. I think the lace itself is over 75 years old. I'm celebrating my new blog makeover and thought I should celebrate it with a Giveaway to be held upon 300 Followers. If you are already a follower you are already in. This basket lined with delicate moss, sprinkled with German Glass glitter, entwined with silk ribbons and fiber, velvet millinery flowers with a vintage crocheted edge tucked in the side and a paper filigree goose egg adorned with flowers and a butterfly. There are paper filigree butterflies are scattered in two other places. There are vintage jewelery beads and a heart charm hanging on the left side of the handle. The paper filigree goose egg is removable in case one would choose to place it in an Easter basket and then return it back to it's natural surrounding during the year and everything else is permanently attached. "Heartful Creations" will be Opening June 26th with OOAK Lovlies. This opening will be the week after the The Blog Party hosted by Karen Valentine of "Valentine Designs". Karen was featured in the May issue of "Where Women Create"and this is her second annual Blog Party. Karen is a very talented Blog designer who is giving everyone an opportunity to peek into many artists studios where everyone who joins the party will have their places on display.  Anyone may visit throughout the year on a special site that Karen will set up. This is a great way to peek into the innovative ideas of others for your special space, and of course have some fun! Looking forward to the Blog Party and now back to creating!

Welcome to Heartful Creations where I will be posting new creations as they are completed and ready for viewing or purchasing. Feel free to stop by and check back as I'm just getting up and running. My lovely Blog shop and Blog design was created by the very talented Karen Valentine of Valentine Designs. Karen was a pleasure to work with and knew exactly what I was looking for in the way of layout and design. Please stop by and check out her beautiful work, Karen can create just about anything that you are looking for. Thank you Karen for the beautiful design you created for my postings. Now I can get back to what I love doing the most, "Creating" and giving new life by adding something old to something new within the creation.
