Ho-Ho-Ho- Santa is Here

Are you all ready for a little Ho-ho?  I sure am:) Here is a paper doll I created from an old Christmas card of my Mom's. It was a Hallmark card dated 1984. I scanned, printed and cut up a couple of copies, then re-assembled him. Painted him with Lumiere paint, added some glitter and  embossing powder for his beard and cuffs. I  exchanged out his walking stick and finished him off with a wreath instead. I made the wreath mini-style with a pipe cleaner from a package of pipe cleaners  purchased from the Dollar Store and cut it in half twisted the 2 pieces together and added some bling and ribbon.........wala instant wreath! So much more festive I think. What is your latest Ho-ho project?

A Little Bit of Christmas for You

Wow... I haven't done a post in along time here, it just seems that time has gotten away from me and I thought I better post a few of my latest Tags before the holidays have come and gone. I hope all is well with all of you and that you are getting into the hustle and bustle of the shopping and creating season. Time to decorate and put up the trees or whatever you enjoy. Wishing you all many blessings and love this month. Now back to the  shopping and creating part. Yep, all decorations are up with the exception of outside as we have been having some rain which I'm lovin' by the way:) XOXO

Have A Charming Halloween

All Wrapped Up with Treats too!

Hi There fellow bloggers! Sharing a little bit of Halloween fun with you, as I recently participated in a Halloween Charm Swap over at  Vintiquities  hosted by the sweet Thespoena McLaughlin. It turned out to be a great swap and I had never participated in a swap of this type before so I had lots of fun creating.  Each gal made 15 Halloween charms and then they were swapped by our hostess. The object was to create a charm bracelet but I decided to use them to hang from my little Spooktactular  Boo Tree which graces my Art table in my workspace this time of year.
The Fifteen Charms I Created

A big thank you to all the Creative Artist that I received charms from, Tammy K,  Thespoena,  Deb Patrick,  Ginger Swanson,  Sandy Babb,  Dana James,  Kathy,  Lynn Stevens,  Jeanne Gripp, Virginia Abshire, Tina Schiefer,  Rhea Freitag,  Darci, and Lexi.  Happy Halloween girls and now off to decorate my Spooktacular Boo Tree. Happy Halloween!

Fairies Flying In For Fall

I there my blogging friends! I hope all is well with you and that you are enjoying the crispness of Fall and all it brings. Thinking about Autumn, harvest and all the fall colors while enjoying a cool evening with a cup of hot spiced apple cider and fresh baked apple pie. Thinking about Thanksgiving and before you know it Christmas will be upon us with all the excitement of preparing for the holiday. All that being said I feel I better get busy. I just finished some swaps, and I'm  almost finished with my  youngest Granddaughters  Halloween costume.  Then I will start all the Christmas projects I have been dreaming about.  Meanwhile I will share with you a bit of Fall, and my latest Paper doll creations. The Gift of Prayer Flags

What wonderful flags I received from 3 of the participants in the  Creative Swaps  group hosted by Lenna Andrews, I love each and every one. Here they all are, gently blowing in the breeze in my front yard as you come up the walk way. They whisper their prayers to the universe to spread Love, Thankfulness and Nurturing. Each is hand made by a genuine Artist with so much talent and love. First we have Terri's of Artful Affirmations and I have shown a close up below, Terri I just love this flag and I'm in awe of you beautiful work:) Thank you so much:)
Terri's "May You All Feel Love"
Next we have a beautiful flag from Jewels of  Just Tickety Boo and I love the image of the little girl and how she is holding the bouquet of flowers. Oh so sweet and plenty to be "thankful" for. Jewels I love your flag and I especially love vintage images of children. Thank you so much:)
Jewels "Thankful"
Next,  last but not least,  we have a wonderful flag from Jan Smith of  Jan's Arty Junk  with the word "Nurture" which we all need :) I love the metal bird Jan has added to the nest and all the vintage buttons, lace and trims. So creative and such a beautiful vintage looking work of Art, Thank you so much Jan I love it!

I hope you have all enjoyed my gifts of Prayer Flags and be inspired to create some of your own as they make wonderful gifts for a friend or loved one and they represent a beautiful bit of Art from the Heart.

Prayer Flags for Today

Hi There my blogging friends, I hope your week has been a good one no matter how you spent it. Today I'm shing with you the Prayer Flags I created for Creative Swaps hosted by the lovely Lenna Andrews. We were to create 3 Prayer Flags with a word or theme  and these were mine. They were made with washed canvas cloth, muslin, scrim, burlap, sari silk ribbon and images printed on fabric sheets. I did some machine sewing and added embellishments such as buttons, twigs, feather, jewelry finds and misc objects. They were sized 5 x 8 inch to keep in the swap format. They are fun and easy to make and give. They are to be hung outside in the breeze and the prayers are to go into the universe like a blessing cast to the wind.  Have fun and  you create your own style Prayer Flag.

Daddy You Always Believed In Me and to Follow My Dreams

Welcome to My Creative Space,  my newly decorated Studio  dedicated to my beautiful Mom and handsome Daddy who helped me become the woman I am today. It all began last summer in my Family room. All my life I have worked here and there within my home and I finally realized that I was wasting a perfectly wonderful room that really didn't get totally used as it should be. With children grown and grandchildren visits I wanted something family friendly to be sure. Starting out with repainting and a total furniture re-arrangement, it worked better than I expected and this is where I spend most of my creative time. I still have my wonderful sewing room that provides extra storage and another machine but this is my "work central". I would like to thank our lovely hostess Karen of  My Desert Cottage for bringing is all together  to share space, storage ideas and peek into each others worlds for a weekend of fun and friendships. Karen we love you!    Linking up to sweet Beverly of How Sweet The Sound too.
