and Dryer Sheets |
A little Birdie told me............ actually my niece found this out the hard way:) These dryer sheets that many of us use in our "art" collage projects can cause lots of damage to your clothes dryer. We all clean our lint filter, right? Sure, but these dryer sheets can build up a film on the filter that we can't see. Dryer filters are made of a mesh material that filters the lint, so take out your dryer filter and run hot water over it, if the water puddles and doesn't run right through it can cause your heating unit to burn out or worse, start a fire. If you want you clothes dryer to work for a long time, once every six months remove the filter and wash with hot soapy water and an old tooth brush to remove invisible build up.

Thanks for sharing, that's something I didn't know! Love the collage arch with the birdies! Have a nice weekend and take care of yourself, Hugs, Valerie
I had to stop over from Nan's because my name is Mary Lou, too. Spelled a little different, however.
Thanks for the tip, here. It's also a good idea to get one of those lint brushes that snake way up the pipe that leads to the outside. That's another way the dryers can start a fire...by getting too full of lint.
Happy Spring,
Mary Lou
