TAG BOOK #3 "TAKE a TOUR of KNOTT'S BERRY FARM"

In keeping with the Theme of Knott's Berry Farm, I created a Paper Bag Tag Book for the mini books swap for Creative Swaps. This is book # 3 and it has about 12-14 pages including back and front. In staying with the theme I made a burlap pocket for it to travel in and stitched a tag on the front. This mini book is created from a small paper bag less than 5x5  with 2x3 mini paper bags used as pockets on the inside. The bags were first machine stitched together in the center and decorated with papers, inks, embellishments and fibers. We have a Rooster on the far right as an attachment to hold the fibers so the bag can be tied closed. The pages are from a cut up paper place mat from the Chicken Dinner Restaurant and some of the embellishments include pressed Pennies from those machines that you hardly see anymore. In one of the pockets it has a program folded and tied from the day we happened to be there. The photos are from actual pic's hanging on the wall taken from when we stood in line for dinner at the restaurant while waiting. I had fun creating this and hope it is received by someone who may never travel to CA. or visit the historical Knott's Berry Farm. Snoopy and I hope you enjoyed your little tour and come back for another visit soon.

ACCORDION TAG "BOOK TWO"

This is another accordion tag mini book that I made for  Creative Swaps  hosted by Lenna Andrews. This was Lenna's hostess gift and she likes bright colors so I thought it suited her as she lives in Florida. Lots of fibers, tissue and inks were used on double sided paper. Fun project and something different for me since I usually create with a vintage/victorian flair. Sixty artists participated in this swap so Lenna has a lot to show and mail out as for every one you send you receive back the same amount.

ACCORDION TAG BOOK

This is one of the mini books I created for a recent swap made by tracing a tag and folding it over and tracing it again and again until I had enough folds to create a mini accordion book. It was done with double sided card stock, inking the edges and applying fiber paper to the inside, adding rubons, Prima butterflies and a mini  vellum envelope for treasures. Beautiful variegated  fibers accent the top. I'll be posting more this week as I created a couple to send off. CELEBRATING with A GIVEAWAY on PINK SATURDAY "A NEW CREATION"

I'm having a Giveaway on my Lulu's Lovlies blog in celebration of Beverly's of "How Sweet the Sound" 3rd Year Birthday of hosting the blog "Pink Saturdays". You can find the link to that blog over on my post. Here is the link to the Giveaway Giveaway Journal. The pages are blank inside with brown unlined paper so you can paint, alter, put pic's,  or whatever your passion is. All you need to do is become a follower and leave a comment to win this special journal that I just created for this special event. Heartful Creations shows this off much better as the pic's are larger because of the 2 column blog.

Creations from the Past, Bloggerette Sorority Rush Project

This is a past project from joining the Sisterhood of the  Bloggerette Sorority   from last year. I thought it would be a fun creation to show and to meet some of the new Sisters that are rushing this year. Since I rushed later in the year it was shown on my Lulu's Lovlies blog. Since Heartful Creations is all about creating I thought it would be a fun share. Right now I'm working on a mini book Swap and can't post those until they are received by the hostess.. and they are Wips anyhow. I started with this wooden box, that was my Mom's letter writing box and decided I would create a treasure box for momentos. The sorority girls pic on the lid and me on the inside. it was a really fun project and got my creative juice flowing! Welcome to Bloggerettes, have fun and make new friends!

Story Book Character Challenge Presenting "The Queen of Hearts" aka Alien Child

Well she is finally finished and this is my Alien child and was a real challenge for me as her face was not going to match who I had in mind so she ended up being the "The Queen" of Hearts, that is. I lean more to sweet, pretty and cute with a vintage style but rather than quit I went with it and gave it my best shot. I can see I am much better in creatively dressing and hairstyling than painting so I put my imagination to work. This was a fun challenge but next time I'm just going to make something I like and not limit myself to a class challenge. She became like homework until I started dressing her then it was fun. lol Now this week I'm off to have some fun and I'm in a mini altered book swap and want to get busy on that which I already  know I will love and can't wait to start. See ya all soon when the next project is in.
